The 2025 Halifax Buskers Festival returns to the Halifax and Dartmouth waterfronts from July 30 to August 4, 2025, with stages at the Halifax Seaport, Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, Sackville Landing, Foundation Wharf, and Dartmouth’s Alderney Landing.
Along with 2024 People’s Choice winner, circus performer Pancho Libre, this year’s festival will feature 16 acts in over 200 shows from across Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea and Austria.
Among the homegrown artists this year are Molly Keczan (aka The Farmer’s Daughter), a solo female variety entertainer specialising in “farmtastic gymnastics”, and Kaylie Kreatrix, who merges sword swallowing, fire and knife juggling into a one-of-a-kind performance.

A little further afield, Australian contortionist and stunt performer Alakazam returns to Halifax and is joined by fellow Aussie acts Luth Wolff and Zap Circus. From South Korea comes magician Jisu Park (aka The Charming Jay), while Japan is represented by acrobatic duo Heromacro and double Dutch trio, Good Baite. A complete list of performers at the 2025 Halifax Buskers Festival is available online.
While the performances are all free, audiences are encouraged to tip the performers, who make their money at the festival by what is placed in their hats.
