Event Details
This vibrant program connects composers across continents and centuries through the shared language of folk spirit and expressive storytelling. A Mozart violin/viola duo opens with elegance and wit, Kodály’s Intermezzo for string trio adds Hungarian rustic flair, and Ginastera’s Pampeana No. 1 (violin and piano) delivers fiery Argentine passion. The evening closes with Dohnányi’s lush and dramatic Piano Quartet – a youthful masterpiece blending Romantic sweep with Hungarian soul. A program of bold voices, cultural threads, and music in conversation.
Featuring Leonardo Perez, violin; Elizabeth Upson Perez, viola; Shimon Walt, cello; Philip Chiu, piano.
