Prize-winning violin marvel Katya Poplyansky is pursuing her Doctor of Music Arts degree at the University of Toronto, having graduated from the Glenn Gould School, the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and the Curtis Institute of Music.

Pianist Todd Yaniw is an artist praised for his atmospheric contrast of poetry and power. Since his symphony debut at age 13, he has performed as a soloist and with ensembles and orchestras worldwide.

The pair performs a captivating program of demanding chamber works, including Alfred Schnittke’s expressive and cutting Sonata No 1, Polish composer Witold Lutosławski’s complex work Partita, Canadian composer Kevin Lau’s stylistic If life were a mirror, and one of the most potent pieces of chamber music ever written, Ludwig van Beethoven’s Kreutzer Sonata.
