Event Details

Sometimes, opportunities are too good to pass up. Case in point: adding Stephanie LaRochelle (whose debut EP was nominated for the 2024 Juno for Adult Contemporary Recording of the Year) to our already ‘gonna be awesome’ evening of music on May 11.

Born in Caledon, Ontario, rising indie-folk artist Daniel James McFadyen now calls Nova Scotia home. His storytelling and interactive shows have sold out across Canada, filling large venues, including Toronto’s iconic Horseshoe Tavern and the Marquee Ballroom in Halifax. Amidst a year of remarkable growth, McFadyen released his highly anticipated EP, Songs to Show Your Friends, last October. The 5-track offering introduces intricate melodies and compelling instrumentation in which he explores topics of love, loss, adventure, and feelings of home, all of which have defined his presence in Canadian folk and indie scenes.

McFadyen’s debut album, August, I’m Yours, was released in 2021 and earned him nominations for several ECMAs and Nova Scotia Music Awards, including Folk Recording of the Year, Rising Star Recording of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year.

With her breathtaking vocals and heartwarming guitar playing, Steph La Rochelle is making her mark. Her angelic, emotive performances have earned her slots in Ottawa’s RBC Bluesfest and Folk Music Ontario showcases, as well as the coveted Canadian Country Music Association’s Discovery Program, which included a CCMA Award nomination.

Her self-penned, FACTOR-funded, JUNO award-nominated debut EP, Wildflower, is available now.

Patchwork is a house concert series, i.e. we present concerts in our living room. For all shows the artist(s) take the door. We provide the stage, chairs and hopefully a room filled with eager listeners.
