Halifax pianist Barbara Pritchard and Canadian Music Centre Atlantic present Pianissimo, a contemplative piano music program by Canadian composers Linda Catlin Smith, Barbara Monk Feldman, and James Rolfe.
The music is written by some of Canada’s most highly regarded classical composers and draws on the very sparse, minimalist style of American composer Morton Feldman. On January 9, Barbara will give the premiere performance of Linda Catlin Smith’s Still Water. Join Barbara as she plays very quietly for extended periods.
Admission is free, and the events are informal. Drop in for a few minutes or stay longer to enjoy this beguiling music.
