Experience the exhilarating artistry of two acclaimed pianists, Eric Lu and Charles Richard-Hamelin, joining forces in a remarkable two-piano and four-hands concert.
This wonderful program showcases the virtuosity and synergy of these artists through Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s radiant Sonata for Two Pianos in D Major, Frédéric Chopin’s captivating Rondo for Two Pianos, and Sergei Rachmaninov’s spirited “Russian Rhapsody.” Richard-Hamelin and Lu enchant with their four-hand mastery of Franz Schubert’s passionate Allegro in A minor, ‘Lebensstürme,’ the evocative Andantino varié from his “Divertissement sur des motifs originaux français,” and his mesmerizing Fantaisie in F minor.
American pianist Eric Lu won First Prize at The Leeds International Piano Competition in 2018 at the age of 20. The following year, he signed an exclusive contract with Warner Classics and was a recipient of the 2021 Avery Fisher Career Grant.
Among countless accomplishments, Canadian pianist Charles Richard-Hamelin has recorded more than ten albums earning him several Prix Félix honours and a JUNO Award. His performances routinely receive widespread acclaim from critics and audiences worldwide.
Don’t miss this opportunity to witness a dynamic collaboration between these exceptional musicians as they explore the rich and diverse piano duo repertoire.
