Join Clara and her Nutcracker Bear as they travel to the Land of Sweets. Here they are entertained by the enchanting Sugar Plum Fairy and her court of Sweets and Candies. It is a show for all ages with exciting dance, fierce battles, sparkling tutus and tiaras.

Coastal Dance Theatre Society (CDTS) is a Dartmouth-based, not-for-profit youth performance company. Each year, we present a full-length holiday story ballet for families and people of all ages and a spring showcase of stunning classical and contemporary works. We stage all shows at Alderney Landing Theatre on the beautiful Dartmouth waterfront.

At CDTS, our goals are to give young dancers the opportunity to perform in professional-level productions, to promote dance as an enjoyable and accessible art form, and, in turn, to give the local community a chance to experience live theatre.

This season, our holiday production is The Nutcracker – a beloved holiday tradition told through dance with full narration, gorgeous costumes, and a delightful cast of performers from throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality.
