Five headline acts not to miss on this year's TD Main Stage.

The 38th annual TD Halifax Jazz Festival gets underway in mid-July at venues across the city. Announcing its full headliner line-up this week, here are five acts that are sure to make waves on this year’s TD Main Stage:

1With her brand new album Multitudes hitting the airwaves today, singer-songwriter and guitarist Leslie Feist (aka Feist) opens this year’s Jazz Festival on July 11 with opening act Jenn Grant.

2Multi-Grammy Award-winning Jamaican-born reggae rapper, singer, and songwriter Shaggy (aka Orville Richard Burrell) makes his Halifax debut on July 12.

3In a free/pay-what-you-can performance on the TD Main Stage on July 13, The Last Waltz Halifax pays tribute to The Band’s 1976 final concert featuring performances from a cast of East Coast artists.

4Grammy Award-winning Toronto-based ensemble BadBadNotGood heads east with its near undefinable mix of jazz, hip hop and other genres on July 14 with special guest Sudan Archives.

5Seattle indie folk band Fleet Foxes, led by singer-songwriter Robin Pecknold, closes at this year’s Jazz Festival on the TD Main Stage on July 16 with special guests The Fortunate Ones.
