Here are five shows we are most excited about this week on Halifax stages:
The 7th annual Halifax Black Film Festival (until Feb 26) continues with in-person and online screenings celebrating African Heritage Month with 70 films from 10 countries.

Alt-folk Canadiana artist Kylie Fox (Feb 27) takes to the Stage at St. Andrew’s with Halifax-based singer-songwriter Kye Clayton as part of its The Stage Mondays, shining a spotlight on female and gender-diverse musicians.

Ceclia Concerts celebrates International Women’s Week with Pianomania! (Mar 4) featuring four female prize-winning concert pianists performing works of both classical and contemporary music.

Host, curator, and pianist Jennifer King welcomes Symphony Nova Scotia’s principal second violinist Isabelle Fournier (Mar 5), performing a diverse array of works in a sensory-accessible concert.

The Centre for Sound Communities presents world-renowned bandura player Julian Kytasty and singers Marcia Ostashewski and Alina Kuzm in Bandura’s Journey: Musical Fragments from Five Centuries (Mar 5).
