Here are five shows we are most excited about this week on Halifax stages:
The first of two shows opening at Neptune Theatre this week, on the Scotiabank Stage, Alison Crosby’s In Lieu of Flowers (Feb 7-19) explores the complexities of grief, loyalty, and what happens to those who are left.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Dartmouth Players hosts Season of Love: A Broadway Cabaret (Feb 9-18), an evening of heartfelt and hilarious stories coupled with some of Broadway’s greatest love songs.

At Neptune Theatre’s Fountain Hall comes the epic stage adaptation of Ann-Marie MacDonald’s Fall On Your Knees (Feb 10-Mar 5), in a two-part, six-hour story of three generations of Cape Breton’s Piper family.

Dartmouth Community Concert Association presents tenor Marcel d’Entremont, pianist Dakota Scott-Digout and soprano Tracy Cantin in Tell Me the Truth About Love (Feb 11), in an evening of eclectic music about love.

Symphony Nova Scotia joins forces with award-winning PEI folk singer-songwriter Catherine MacLellan in Snowbird: A Tribute to Anne Murray (Feb 11 & 12) in salute to one of Canada’s greatest icons.
