Tell us about your show.
Night Garden Remix is a contemporary belly dance show, exploring the life-cycle of the botanical world from seed through growth, full bloom, death, and rebirth. Reconnect with the magic of life with the beautiful, hypnotic art of belly dance as you’ve never seen it before.
A collaboration of Laura Selenzi, Monique Ryan, Tina Afsana, and Sacha Begg, this second showing (or “Remix”) of the production now also features dancers from Serpentine Studios; infusing the show with new energy.
Describe your show in three words.
Magical. Sensual. Powerful.
Why should someone come see your show?
We think everyone will enjoy this show, even if you don’t have a background in dance. The beautiful movements and swirling colours are a feast for the eyes. Belly dance is a beautiful, skilled, empowering and evolving art form, and this project has been created by high-level professional dance artists, collaborating as a group to create an ambitious and creatively challenging body of work. In this second mounting of the production, we will be sharing the stage with our full dance companies in an extravaganza of dance.
If your show was a superhero which superhero would it be, and why?
