Tell us about The Encounters of an Adventurous Snail.

The Encounters of an Adventurous Snail is a magical shadow-puppetry musical inspired by the poetry, songs, and plays of the beloved Spanish writer Federico García Lorca. It is a unique fusion between innovative shadows and live actors that is going to be a unique experience and a lot of fun to see. At its heart, this show is a touching story of discovering what you believe in a world filled with blind faith and confusion, especially concerning the subject of death.

Describe your show in three words.

Colourful. Creative. Adventurous.

Why should someone come see your show?

    • It is a visual spectacle in the way that it utilizes coloured light and shadows
    • It has an incredible original violin score by Zach Levin
    • It features some of the most beautiful poetry of the 20th century
    • It will encourage you to question what you believe- and decide for yourself

If your show was a superhero which superhero would it be, and why?

This show is totally Groot, from The Guardians of the Galaxy. It is growing all the time, kind, sweet, and connected to nature-while still being unafraid to take a stand.

If you could see only one show at the Halifax Fringe Festival this year, besides your own, what show would that be?

We are really excited to see Lords of Fogtown, presented by Hello City! They are consistently some of the funniest folks in Halifax and the chance to see their brilliant improv through this creative long-form format is too good an opportunity to pass up.
