Halifax Presents has teamed up with local music venue The Carleton for a virtual music series to give Halifax musicians an opportunity to perform and audiences a virtual show during this time of social distancing.
We welcomed our first guest, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Minnikin on March 21.
Making music since the 1990s, Gabriel has established himself as an in-demand artist not only in his own right but playing with the likes of Blue Rodeo, Bahamas, Gordie Sampson, Buck65, Kinley Dowling, KD Lang and Diana Jones.
He has also written songs with East Coast talents such as Matt Anderson, Gabrielle Papillon, Terra Spencer, Cameron Nickerson, and The Guthries, to name a few. And he is getting ready to drop his fifth album later this year.
In the first of our special Live at The Carleton series, Gabriel not only performs some of his original work, but we also chat with him to find out more about his music and career.
