Halifax Presents returned Live at The Carleton in our continuing live online music series as we welcomed Sasha Brideau on May 6.
As a kid, the now Halifax-based musician was inspired by his grandfather, who plays with the Saint John dance band Donnie and The Monarchs. Picking up the guitar at age four, Sasha cannot remember life without six strings.
Twenty years later, Sasha is now playing with the country-rock group The Homewreckers with three of his closest friends. He is also beginning to work on his original music with a group of well-known local musicians backing him and looking forward to this new project seeing the light of day once the pandemic has passed.
“The Carleton is my favourite stage in Halifax, it’s felt like home since the first time I set foot in the building and in extremely excited to be able to inhabit its walls and make noise once more,” he says.
