Meet Kevin Jollimore

To hear Kevin Jollimore tell it, he actually ‘made it’ in the cutthroat world of the music industry, a successful life pursuing the thing that he loves to do. A veteran of the Toronto music scene, Kevin was and still is the lead singer and writer for the popular Canadian alt-country band The Sin City Boys.

Seven albums and over one thousand shows later, he has returned to his home province of Nova Scotia.

Back in Halifax, Jollimore has put together a new band, The Relics, which he calls an excellent representation of the kind of twangy country and rock music that he loves.

The Relics consist of Don Donohue (The Razorbacks, The Defects), a well-known veteran of the Halifax music scene on guitar and vocals, Gary Potts, everybody’s favourite drummer in Halifax, and bass player and singer Greg Coldwell (Luau Or Die) from the Annapolis Valley by way of Toronto.

The Relics will be releasing their debut album in 2024, and in the meantime, they will be playing a list of high-energy, country-rock gigs in and around the HRM. Be sure to catch them at a venue near you.
