With over 25 years of experience as an arts writer, Mark has reviewed hundreds of theatre productions and profiled a wide range of performers across the performing arts. His work has appeared in
Xtra and an international trade publication, and he currently serves as contributing editor for
Vancouver Presents. A seasoned stage artist himself, Mark has worked as both an actor and director—once even winning an acting award—and in a past life, played a mean saxophone. He was also a jury member for the Critics’ Choice Innovation Award at the Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards, Vancouver’s professional theatre honours. Originally from the West Coast, Mark now lives in Halifax with his partner David and their
rescue dog Buddy.
